Here are some suggestions as to how you may live the Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

Pray the Morning Offering (see prayer below)

When dealing with others be mindful of the way Jesus would desire you to treat them.

Meditate on the love shown by Jesus to those he met, befriended, and healed when he was here on earth.

Spend a few minutes in the morning and in the evening in prayer before the Enthonement of the Sacred Heart in your home.

Add a Sacred Heart center or medal to your Rosary.

Carry Sacred Heart devotional items (such as keyrings, prayer cards, lapel pins, etc.) with you throughout the day so that when you see them your mind will go back to thinking of Our Lord's Sacred Heart and your committment to Him through this devotion.

Obey the Lord's commands to 1) receive communion frequently, 2) go to confession and receive the Holy Eucharist on the First Friday of each month for nine consecutive months, 3) spend one hour in Eucharistic Adoration on Thursdays, and 4) celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart annually.

The Morning Offering

O my Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer Thee my prayers, works, joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart,
in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass,
throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all our associates,
and in particular,
for the general intention recommended this month.
Amen.
